Chef “Jamie” James Faulkner is a master at BBQ but his culinary talents and training also extend to that of Personal Chef.
Jamie was born in 1973, September 4, to be exact. He grew up in a small town in Fulton, Ky working on a farm, raising pigs, sheep, and cows, planting corn, soybeans, and wheat. Farm living! It is that background that gives him the inspiration to use fresh, quality food choices and his custom wood blends for BBQ smoking.
In October of 1992, Jamie joined the United States Air Force and went to fire apprentice school in Canute, Ill.
HIs first duty station was Maelstrom AFB in MT. The first six years of his 14 year career took him to Ellison AFB. Alaska before arriving at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs. He played with fire then, too! Jamie studied as a Fire officer III before becoming a Fire Instructor III, Arson Investigator II.
Chef Jamie had a burning passion for cooking and with his wife's encouragement, he enrolled in Paragon Culinary school.
During culinary school, his first job was a Mackenzie Place Retirement Community as a line cook and he
worked his way up until he was hired at Ft Carson as executive chef in the Troop school.
From there he was on his way: "I ran several kitchens and opened my first restaurant." With success there is always failure, which is a stepping stone to improving. His first restaurant failed but Jamie picked up again and got a job as a Executive Chef in a high
end hotel. He went on to help run the kitchen at CSU.
Then he was ready to open his own place again and I bought the infamous Wild Goose food truck. Things started out tough but now Jamie has a very solid staff and they are ready to serve your events. Things keep going up.
